Description

This route has historically been for decades both a training run and a "rite of passage" for runners in the Lynchburg, Virginia area. Some of the notable runners include David Horton (former holder of Appalachian Trail FKT,  Pacific Crest Trail FKT, 2x winner of Hardrock 100, and much more!).

The route starts at the stop sign at the intersection between Ambrose Rucker Road and Mistover Drive. Then, the route follows Mistover Drive until the last section that hops onto to the road up to radio tower on top of Tobacco Row Mountain. The turn around is at the end of the radio tower road with it being mandatory to touch the metal fence before turning around. Finally, do the route backwards and finish by touching the stop sign at the Ambrose Rucker Road and Mistover Drive intersection.
