Description

A run comprising of running from the Army Camp at Sennybridge and circumnavigating the whole danger area that they fire on which is Mynydd Epynt Mountain. The route is circular and open to public. It is a serious undertaking and has over 5000ft of elevation. The route starts and finishes at the Army Camp entrance.

This route was recently run as a charity event and it was such a success that Brecon MRT and the Army at the camp are going to run it annually. The whole area has a history of endurance events as it is where the British Army and particularly special forces train. The area has a huge history, the whole population of Mynydd Epynt was removed from the area to make way for the Army in 1940 for the Word War 2 effort. To this day the Army still owns the land. Also the last Prince of Wales was killed by the English Army just of the route in 1282.
