Route: Trangoška-Donovaly, Low Tatras (Slovakia)

The route follows the western part of the spine of Low Tatras (red hiking trail - perfectly marked, including time estimates for all subsections). The exact route can be found here https://mapy.hiking.sk/?hpid=gGCYq (zoom in for for the detailed topographical map to start appearing). It includes detailed info about elevation, distance, and times (for hiking) on a hiking map. Length is ~46km, average altitude is ~1600m, maximum ~2000m, total ascent ~2500m. Hiking time estimate is ~16h. There is a bus connection to/from both ends of the route (more frequent at Donovaly - west end, less frequent at Trangoska - east end).

There is a mountain running race following exactly this route. It is called "Non-stop Beh NT" (non-stop run through Low Tatras). The website is here: http://nonstopbehnt.sk/. One can view photos and results for the past 15 years on their website.

However, results that include finishing times only appear on the website for editions after year 2002. There's also no GPS record of Igor's run, so it would have to be properly checked. He used to be a good runner when I was a kid.

I plotted some data from the available results that I found for the period 2002-2017. I attach plots as images. The code and data (clean in CSV and separate txt files) can be found in the 'nsbnt' folder on my github here: https://github.com/jsliacan/fkt. The only relevant script is "main.sage". The rest is for cleaning the data from the website's PDF files. All pics that I submit are also on github.

What I mention above is a summer FKT. Winter FKT would be much different. Also, the race goes from East to West, but it can be walked/run in the opposite direction too. I know of no official times in W-E direction.

The profile is taken from http://nizketatry.sk/phrebena/phrebena.html which describes the full spine route (100+km). I put in the initial climb from Trangoska to the mountain hut (in green), and removed the section from Certovica to the mountain hut (in red). Not sure if you'll use it. I'm afraid the website is not available in English...
