Route: Trans Iberia (Spain)

A crossing of the Iberian Penninsula in the north - south direction.  The route leads from the end of the causeway at Punta de Tarifa, Andalusia, 36°00′30.90’’N 5°36′25.05’’W (the southernmost point of the Iberian peninsula), to the lighthouse at Punta de Estaca de Bares, Galicia, at 43°47′09″N 7°41′03″W, (the northernmost point of the Iberian peninsula) or vice versa.  Approximately 1000km, depending on the route taken.
