Description

Classic Route 66 west to east crossing of Missouri that starts at the Kansas-Missouri border near Galena and ends at the Chain of Rocks Bridge in North St. Louis.

Starting point on the state line road of Kansas-Missouri border where there is a yellow brick line across the highway. There are a few different alignments of the original highway through the years in a couple of the larger cities (Joplin, St. Louis, etc.). I chose alignments that avoided interstate and major highways when possible. This is the typical route that cyclists and runners/walkers make across the state. The finish is the Chain of Rocks Bridge in the north St. Louis area. The state line actually is part way across the river on the bridge, however I continued on to complete the run on the Illinois side of the bridge.

That is a very impressive time for 325 miles pushing a baby stroller.
