Description
You will start from the beginning of Corso Regina right after the "Ponte Regina Margherita" bridge over the Po river and take it till Rondò della Forca, go to Via San Donato, corso Appio Claudio, Strada della Pellerina and then to viale Certosa in Collegno (on the bike side). Cross the Parco della Certosa and take Via Alpignano, take via Arona to the left and then via Bruere to the Right.
Strada Bibiana and via Valle to go to Alpignano. Take Via Marconi, take the pedestrian subway under the train rails, then via Perosa till the end (big corn field).
Take 1km of corso Susa (most dangerous part, be careful with traffic), then slide to the right in Rosta to strada Antica di Alpignano till church of Sant'Antonio di Ranverso (passing in a woods). Go over Ferriera and take a left under the Train Bridge, then go to Avigliana.
Look at the Coop shop and take the via Alliaud till the top, then turn right to via Galinier.
Take strada Antica di Francia to get to Sant'Ambrogio di Torino, then to the right to the pedestrian way below the Sacra.
Then always straight till Sant'Antonino di Susa, take via dei Salici till you get to via Nazionale Moncenisio, cross the bridge (careful on cars), and in Borgone go down the Train Rail using the subway. Then stay on the same route, pass San Didero, turn right to get to Bruzolo, turn right in via dei Mille and then strade delle Crotte, till you arrive at Bussoleno. The route ends when you cross the train rails again.
The way is 70% on asphalt and 30% on easy trails.
There are many water points and shops open also on Sunday (especially on arrival).
You can then go back to Torino with a Train for about 5€ every hour.
What you will see
This is a 50km route from Torino to Bussoleno, in Val di Susa, you go through many small villages, nice paths not very known, also hilly routes, and you will also see interesting monuments while still in Torino.
In the route is also included the visit of the following: Porta Palazzo, Piazza Statuto, Sacrario del Martinetto, Campo Volo (all in Torino), then the view of Musine on the right and Sacra di San Michele on the left, the beautiful church of Sant'Antonio di Ranverso, right after Avigliana the Museo Ex Dinamitificio Nobel, small villages rural as Sant'Ambrogio, Chiusa di San Michele, Sant'Antonino, Borgone, San Didero, Bruzolo and finally Bussoleno.
