Vertical Kilometer - Mt Kembang
This is an open challenge for mountain athletes to compete in speed and endurance to conquer the Mount Kembang's vertical uphill Lengkong route. This segment is 5.5k long with a 1,000m+ elevation gain.
A short description of the route, for the first kilometer you will face the concrete route, some locals with their motorcycles will pass you during this beginning, say Hi! The next kilometer is a transition from concrete to rock that will smash your leg harder. 3rd kilometer will be quiet and calm, there are no locals, and no motorcycles but never go down and keep your pace up, the storm is waiting for you ahead. The last 2.5k to the summit is totally an uphill with ground full of roots and muddy terrain, is it hard? It depends, if you have a horse's lungs and legs made of steel, I'm sure it won't be a problem for you. Keep going forward, make this as easy as your morning 5k run, just make sure your heart doesn't explode.
