The Volga Trail is laid mainly on the territory of the picturesque right bank of the Volga, combining 20 specially protected natural areas and more than 100 objects of tourist interest. The project aims to open Tatarstan to a wide range of tourists from new angles, to show the Republic of Tatarstan in all the variety of species and natural attractions, closely intertwined with the life and culture of local communities living along the great river. There is a small ferry crossing at a distance. There are 26 specially protected natural territories, more than 100 cultural and historical monuments, customs and lifestyles of 6 ethnic groups.
