You can run from Warwick to Stratford upon Avon along the canals. Bit of "detour", because first you are taking the Grand Union canal North, passing the Hatton Locks (the 21 locks also known as 'Stairway to Heaven'), going through the Shrewley Tunnel before turning left to the Stratford Canal which is all downhill, but can be muddy at places.
Going out of Stratford the pavement along to A429 was widened in 2024. Some hills at Hatton Rock but soon you are back to a trio of lovely villages of Hampton Lucy, Wasperton and Barford
