Washington Monument, DC to Washington Monument, Baltimore: 38.78 Miles in 5:58:02 (9:14/Mile), Self Supported. This has been on my bucket list for a long time, so good to get it done today. This could definitely be done faster supported and if you had the route dialed. The first 20 miles were really nice, miles 20-32 were a bit industrial, lonely and trafficked. Definitely need to be comfortable running close to traffic along Route 1. On and off rain all day. Was hoping for more rain but it was pretty perfect. I had a few pit stops for food and to go to bathroom but mostly moved constantly and efficiently. Felt solid. To the 2 people that tried to hit me, that wasn’t nice but never felt unsafe. Hope someone can improve on this.
