Route: Old Rag & Roberts Mountain Linkup

This is linkup of two of the best mountains that Shenandoah has to offer, the classic Old Rag and Roberts Mountain - you get to enjoy both sides of the valley in one day! For this route, start at the new parking lot for Old Rag and run the route clockwise, heading up Old Rag first, then descending the backside of the mountain. Once you link back up with the fire roads then head up Old Rag Fire Road going towards Roberts Mountain. After about another mile or so you'll connect with Roberts Mountain Trail. Take this trail all the way up (which is fairly quick) and then down Roberts Mountain until you link back up with Weakley Hollow Fire Road. From there continue back towards the Old Rag parking lot, but make sure to connect back with the trail and not take Nethers Rd all the way back (just like the traditional Old Rag FKT). Once you're back at the parking lot you're done!
