Description

A circumnavigation of Block Island, 13 miles off of Rhode Island. All on the beach with rocky terrain, and a swim across a channel 9.5 miles in. Pretty flat, but difficult terrain.

How do you manage to swim across the channel? Doesn't the ferry and other big boats go through there? 

Sorry this is a year late, it takes less then a minute so was able to find a window to cross

Very fun! Slowed myself down somewhat by also searching for glass floats along the route (I didn't find any). Used 2 black plastic trash bags for waterproofing backpack and hiking boots during the swim (carried out and properly discarded at the end).
