Route: Hidden Lakes Loop (WI)

Location
Wisconsin, US
Distance
15.5 mi
Vertical Gain
880 ft
Description

Peter Hubbard posted the route:

This 14 mile loop is a classic in Northern Wisconsin, one of the most beautiful, peaceful and softest trails you'll find. Heading clockwise from the Franklin Nature Trail parking lot, the first 7 miles is windy and undulating single track. After Pat Shay Lake, the second half is more open hardwood forests and follows cross country ski trails.

Here's the map, I highly recommend giving this trail a try, you won't be disappointed:

Admin note: Caroline Miller used an updated route (new gpx file attached) that was considerably longer than the original route.

I ran the Hidden Lakes Loop on 7/5/20 in 2:12.18 - https://www.strava.com/activities/3717642436

It's the second time I've run the loop. Really enjoy it. It's kind of an adventure (see Becca's write-up). I hope to run it again later this summer or this fall.
