From Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station to Kochel train station

This route is crossing the Estergebirge (Wank, Hoher Fricken, Weilheimer Huette, Hohe Kisten), then continues to Osterfeuerspitze and Oelrain. The final 2 summits are Heimgarten and Herzogstand, followed by a fast donwhill to Kochel lake and finally into the small town of Kochel, all the way to the train station.

All summits mentioned above must be visited, the exact route may be chosen based on personal preference.

Hi Christian,

You write, part of the fkt's is the mountain "high box". But you weren't up for it when you tried. The way to the top of the Easter fire is somewhat confused. It's not the normal way, is it? The loop at Wengwies Castle is also part of the way?

Best

Hi Alexander,

sorry for the late reply.
Yes, you're actually right - I did miss the "Hohe Kiste" by a few meters. Up the Osterfeuerspitz, I was trying to find water and ended up getting lost in the slopes behind Wengwies (seriously high fences here).

So, as in the end I missed one peak and covered quite a few unnecessary kilometers, I'm planning on re-doing this one soon - as this FKT is just about connecting 10 points on a map, you can chose the route freely.

Let me know if you'd like to join!

Christian.
