Description

St Swithun's Way long-distance [54km] footpath extends from Winchester Cathedral, Hampshire to Farnham, Surrey. It is named after Swithun, a 9th-century Bishop of Winchester. From beginning to end, places visited include Winchester Cathedral, Kings Worthy, Abbots Worthy, Martyr Worthy, Itchen Abbas, Ovington, New Alresford, Bishop's Sutton, Ropley, Four Marks, Chawton, Alton, Upper Froyle, Bentley and Farnham.

Good work, Neil ??. I think finishing at Winchester is probably the more inspiring choice! And you're right... something has to be done about that route marking!!!

Hi Neil / Jamie et al - just a big shout out to the times laid down previously on this route. I did it yesterday and dipped under the mark Neil set but I could not have done that without pacers at the end. That is some mark you set - thanks for putting a time out there that is really challenging. I might be back for an unsupported attempt....

Kudos! I know it's not an easy route to follow, especially when you reach Surrey.
