Description

"The Alpine Slide"... if you're from New Jersey, you'll recognize this name! This 2.8 mi loop with a little over 1,000 ft gain is the former race course of "Running with the Devil" event by NJ Trail Series. This is the perfect trail loop to get some good climbing in by doing repeats. It is an active ski slope so you won't be able to access it during the winter. The loop begins at the base of South Peak Terrain Park. The loop will immediately head up hill on Kamikaze, cut over to Big Bear and the Summit of Bear Mountain, then traversing through the woods on ATV trails to Red Tail to reach the summit of South Peak. You'll then descend using the BLUE Trails (medium difficulty) Canyon/Giant Steps/The Gully/Cloud 9 to get back to the base of the Mountain. The best address to use for the parking lot is 123 New Jersey 94 Vernon, NJ 07462.

This is great. Supreme glory to anyone who both survived a ride on the Alpine Slide and attempts this FKT.
