The Grebbelinie path crosses many historical landmarks. It was a well-known Dutch defense line. It was build around approximately 1750 but also utilized in WWII, also by German soldiers. Along the route there are many bunkers, cemeteries and memorial signs. A part of the route goes through military trenches. There is a booklet available about the route. The (original) route goes from Rhenen to Spakenburg. At a later stage, a few extra sections were added (see Wandelgids Grebbeliniepad, Rhenen-Bunschoten-Spakenburg). The route is described in great detail on:

To whom it may concern:
I will be attempting to run the Grebbeliniepad from Bunschoten to Rhenen on the 10th of November 2022. Starting at about 7:30 in the morning, I’ll be running in self-supported fashion and I will try to make decent pace until the energy runs out. Afterwards a verification request will be sent and Strava-proof will be available if I manage to break the standing FKT.
For now I would like to thank Daniel Podzimek for uploading this lovely route.
Congrats on a nice FKT.
