I'm thinking of attempting this in the next month just wondering if there is direction that is favoured?

Have a look at the LSWA website and Loddon Valley Ramblers website too. Lots of helpful info. They suggest clockwise starting in Shiplake. They created the route.

I will be attempting this route in August. I will be running clockwise starting and finishing in Wokingham. 

I completed my attempt yesterday, but sadly missed out on the record by 30 minutes or so. For those running in the future the diversion between Shiplake and Henley is now larger and adds ~1km and 100m elevation. 

I hope to have another go soon!
