I'm attempting a Mojave Road East to West unsupported female hike starting in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow, January 16th. I'm counting on collecting naturally-occurring water at mile 23.7 and about mile 115. There may be springs in between, but they're unreliable. If there is no water at 23.7 I will be turning around or bumming water off a passing four-wheeler, in which case the trip would become a supported hike. Hey all! I'll be attempting this route on the morning of the 24th (12/24/23), as long as I am able to work out transportation needs. I'll be going from West to East because of my transportation arrangements. I'll be attempting it as an unsupported male FKT. My primary goal is simply to complete it!

Regardless of FKT categorization, I am inspired and challenged by Sarah's amazing time on this route :)

Follow along if you please, here: https://fastestknowntime.com/route/mojave-road-ca-nv

Thanks all for participating in this incredible community.

Peace,

Sam

Hey everyone!

About half a year later now, I've finished writing my full narrative trip report for this route, found here. The technical one I uploaded for the FKT submission only tells the logistical side of things. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions about either the report, or if you have any questions about attempting the route. I'm happy to help, as I'm sure others are too.

My email: samjkottoor@gmail.com

Peace!

Sam
