Super fun day out! This is a great route and covers some beautiful areas starting in vineyards and ending at the ocean. Its been fun seeing different parts of our new home in the San Diego area and was glad to have a reason to go here. The route is quite straightforward to start and loved running through the meadows and variety of the area. I started around 5:30am so that it wouldn't get too hot and I lucked out with an overcast day for the most part. I ran completely unsupported but it was fun to see more and more people on the trail along with a big soccer tournament and horse show as I came closer to the ocean. I did find the golf course part a bit disconcerting as it felt like I shouldn't be there, but no one said anything. I also found one section right before the flooded road where the tracks said to go through a private property section and I just continued on the trail which met back up and is only a tiny bit longer. I also think following the trail along the ocean at the end would be a more fitting ending then getting on to the pretty busy road before turning back into the ocean. Overall a super fun day out!
