Well. This is one way to get you into shape. Run up 13ers a few times a week. Let me tell you, any mile at 10,000ft plus seems slow and painful. I swear I’m not a masochist. Hot for September. The road is typical Colorado 4 wheel drive road. Rocky. The last mile is a little technical - requires some rock hoping and can be loose - so I walked most of it. Anyway, great cardio on the way up. I’m glad I was close to my vertical speed from peak one last week. Descent got better. Nice to drop a few sub 6 minute miles.
