I love this trail and I make sure to visit the falls at least once a year.
In order to beat the heat, I made sure to start kind of early. It was such a perfect day with very few people on the trail that early (it usually gets busy around 9am).
I stopped and gave directions to a hiker about 1/4 mile in, picked up a few pieces of trash along the way, and dodged numerous California Newts along the trail (they're so cute!)
