On May 9th, 2026 at 1:15pm I ran The Bluff Wilderness Hiking Trail perimeter. I ran this route to get a feel for the conditions as a friend of mine from Nova Scotia and I were going to run the entire trail on the 10th. The trail was very technical, mainly running over boulders and root filled single track with several water crossings due to the melt. It was a very hot day for May with a nice blue sky and luckily I only had one tick on me after the run (there are so many in Nova Scotia). In my opinion this trail is world class and deserves to have a wicked fast time one day. This FKT also helped me land my 2026 goal to set an FKT in all 3 of the Canadian Maritime provinces!
