I woke up to a snow storm and most of the mountain being completely socked in the clouds. I decided I would at least start the effort and if conditions/weather got worse I would just turn around. The sun came out for about half of the ascent before another storm cloud rolled in and socked in the mountain. It was a good white out from about the glacier to the summit. I broke trail along the traverse in 6-12" snow from 6500m-6750m which too alot of energy. I probably could've taken a good chunk of time off if it wasn't for that. But I am stoked to have been able to break the FKT on this ascent of the highest volcano in the world. Maybe I'll give it another rip while I am here for the next two weeks.
