Started at the trail sign on the Stockertown end after a short warmup. The weather was cool when I started at about 50-55F. I brought a camelback with me that was half full with some carb/electrolyte mix in it and 2 gels for energy. I started off a little too fast and it cost me some time near the Pen Argyl end which has a few short steep hills. Turned around in the parking lot at Buss Street, there was no entrance sign on this end. The gradual downhill was noticeable on the way back and i could tell when it leveled out again at the beginning of the trail. I was able to speed up for the last 2 miles and put in a pretty solid time that i think will hold for a while. Total trail distance on my watch gave me 13.62mi. I broke my 10K and half-marathon PR during this run.
