Lower to Upper Buaghman Trail FKT, Supported.
Set out to take another shot at this FKT, went on the weekend. Knew it be busy so wanted to try the supported version of it. I asked some people to stash some water for me so it be supported attempt. Was around 2 pm when I started so another late start. Felt alright but it was kind of hot out so wasn’t sure how I'd hold up. Figured trail would be dry unlike my unsupported attempt last year, which would be a plus. Took off a little hot and the climb right away did catch up to me quick making me redline. Managed to somehow not implode till I could recoup of a less inclined part. It is uphill for most of if not all of the 1st 2 miles. When I reached overlook there was a wedding party in middle of trail had to go right thru them haha. Luckily they were just getting setup or leaving they were not in the middle of shooting. They were gone when I came back through. Was 2 mins under the 1st two miles. But by the time I go to the turn around was little behind as I took a couple pics and a clip for verification. Then had to pee. So put myself behind. Luckily it's easier on way back theoretically since downhill, with it not being super technical you can fly some. Knew I could make time back up if legs held up. Did set a pace pro up to give myself a 41 second buffer. That was the saving grace since I only got the FKT by 30 seconds. I got it done and im happy a lot of people on the trail id say over a dozen not counting the wedding party so for that stretch that time of day is a lot.
