This was part of an ongoing set of monthly challenges to raise awareness of PTSD.
Part 1 of this challenge was to set an FKT as there wasn't one recorded on this route, part 2 of this challenge is to encourage others to try and beat it. As I'm not the fastest of runners I'm hoping it will encourage others to keep on track of their goals and challenge themselves to try something a bit different.
I started at the canal museum in Gloucester, GL1 2EH, at 09:17 with a very vague time set in my head.
I was supported on this and had fuelling stops at Parkend Swing Bridge, GL2 7NE and Patch Bridge, GL2 7BP (alongside the Black Shed Café)
All went to plan and arrived at the SARA depot in Sharpness, GL13 9UB a 2hrs 55mins later. Please be aware parking can be an issue here
This is an amazing route with stunning scenery and a nice mix of underfoot terrain. I chose to wear trail shoes as I suspected it might be muddy in places but road shoes would be perfectly adequate.
