Did this one in part as a feature for another simply-beautiful Oregon Rails-to-Trails, in part for a 50k time trial, and in part to find a place to get away from nasty cold weather. It is fun that I have run 3 of the longest Oregon Rails-to-Trails projects now. If it wasn't for this project of getting these local/regional gems onto the FKT website, I am not sure I would have found the motivation. That is one of the things I love about this FKT project and lifestyle. It is motivating to get out there and cover so much of the most beautiful country under human power. It was super cool to see the lake so low, with this vivid green grass (See photos in Strava) growing into the lakebed. Also, I had no idea how cool these old Covered Bridges are...super worth the visit.
It was fun and brutal to do this as a double with the "Maryhill Stonehenge" effort. Definitely sore.
