17:11 ascent, 8:14 descent, 25:25 total [stopwatch time]
(timed by checking my watch at bottom, top, and bottom again - bottom being the post at the north end of the bridge by the picnic shelter off Sunshine Canyon Drive, and the top being metal post at the summit).
I started the climb at a slightly more comfortable pace than the other 2 times I've raced up Mt Sanitas, and actually backed off whenever it felt too hard. I think the result was better pacing, and I dropped over 30 seconds on my ascent time.
I went a couple feet off trail a few times while passing people on the descent. Slipped once on a patch of loose dirt, but only a minor fall. My descent time ended up being a tad slower than I was hoping, probably due to many factors: ascent was fast for me, so I was already proud of myself; I had to navigate people and attempt to keep a separation distance of 6 feet; maybe my downhill legs were still a little tired from a workout on Saturday.
