FKT: Karina Andersen - Tour de Abyss (CO) - 2023-08-26

Been wanting to hit the sawtooth for a while, thought this loop would be a cool way to do it!

Pretty straightforward route finding to the beginning of Bierstadt’s east ridge, though a bit wet/marshy down in the valley. Scrambling the ridge wasn’t anything extreme, definitely class 3 though you could make it class 5 on some parts if desired. On top of Bierstadt in 1:28, across Sawtooth in another 40 minutes, then started heading the wrong way to Evans/Blue Sky before realizing and getting back on track. Summited in 2:45? then back down to the start.

Didn’t really push at any point as that was not the intention today, I think this could easily go under 3, even 2:30 or faster for the female fkt if anyone is looking to go after it!
