On April 8 I ran the Other 9 in the Catskills, from west to east. There was a flood advisory after a few inches of rain the night before so conditions were far from ideal. I started at 8:04 am. There was patchy ice on most summits but microspikes were sufficient. My friend was going to pick me up at the end but this took much longer than we both thought so he ran up the trail a few miles and we finished together. I saw 7 people all day, all on Hunter Mountain. I'd like to go back when the trails aren't covered in water.
