On August 30, 2021 I ran the Migizi Loop near Cass Lake, Minnesota. This is another trail I've driven past for years without paying it much attention. I didn't realize it went all the way around Pike Bay.
I started at 3:24 pm from the trailhead on Highway 2 and ran clockwise. It was a beautiful day in the 70s with most of the mosquitoes gone for the year. The trees provided some nice shade. I got back to the trailhead at 5:18. I saw two cyclists and one runner. I ran by myself, unsupported. I consumed 16 ounces of water and 200 calories. I made small Strava segments in both directions and couldn't find anyone who had done this loop faster.
