30 April just past 6 local time, PC, Les, Marietjie(who would stop at kilo 40) started with an attempt to set a new FKT on KHHT 55km.
after great rains the trails were very over grown and 'bundu bashing' slowed the group down.
temperature for the day started at about 10 degrees and went up to 38.
the last 12km from the tree house in a dry and warm river bed was tough but Les and PC both pushed through to finish in just under 10 hours
