Was a hot day when doing Gass Peak (just outside Las Vegas, Nevada) - 93+ degrees and sunny. Recommend doing in the winter-time as much easier with temperatures and water! Remote area and getting to the trailhead via car could be its own FKT - a lot of bumps, rocks, and jagged roads. Started around 1:45 p.m. and ran from the trailhead at a decent pace for about 3.2 miles to top, ~2000 feet elevation gain, and back down. Nice views and area. In memory of 2019 Gass Peak plane crash victims Rest In Peace.
