Got asked to attempt my first trail run the day before this, extremely technical and difficult. Stubbed my toe and twisted my ankle more times then i could count, didn't have the right shoes or enough water. It was awesome.

I was in Nova Scotia for a weekend of trail running and decided to bring my friend Yasemin Surmeli out on her first trail run. She did phenomenal but there wasn’t a lot of drinkable water sources so it’s important to take full advantage when you do find a water source. More people should chase these mixed-gender FKT’s (trail running groups, boyfriend-girlfriend, etc) it’s not about speed, it’s about completing these routes together and making sure everyone is safe. All in all, beautiful trail system.
