Started from Spring Blvd trailhead, cruised up Baldy and almost took a wrong turn towards Amazon, but ended up heading the right way towards the raptor center. Push up to Spencer’s butte was hard, weather was hot and direct sunlight made it even hotter. Took a decent break on summit to take in the view before heading down. The way back to Blanton was sweet, cruised the whole way through.
Also ran into somebody’s chicken on the trail, just hanging out on a log. Did the whole thing in a pair of women’s Speedgoat 5’s I found at goodwill yesterday, I was a bit worried they might beat up my feet, but they did great!
