Route via Abrams Creek

Scenic 5.1 mile out and back (10.21 miles total) starting from the Abrams Creek Campground on the Copper Road Trailhead. Follows the trails with well-marked signs via Little Bottoms Trail to Abrams Falls. The trail passes two backcountry campsites, many creek crossings (depending on rainfall, water may be ankle deep or higher), overlooks at almost 2,000 ft up, and winds up at Abrams Falls. Upon arriving at the falls, cross the wooden foot bridge and walk to section of rocks closest to the waterfall for a scenic picture! This route continues back the same way it came and ends at the original starting point on the Copper Road Trailhead in the Abrams Creek Campground. The Smoky Mountains are home to black bears, bobcats, snakes, salamanders, and more! This is a remote trail with no water, no cell reception, and limited hikers. There are restrooms at the start in the campground.
