Description

Germany's first cross-hiking tour leads through the Alb valley in the northern Black Forest and promises a real outdoor feeling.  The Abtal AbenteuerTrack is divided into 2 Stages, 24km each:

Stage 1:

Start: Bahnhofplatz, before the small bridge on the Alb
Finish: Waldfreibad Bad Herrenalb, before the small bridge

The track is very challenging with a lot of technical sections: 2 climbing sections, technical downhills?. But it also has beautiful hot spots (Alb source, Teufelskammer, Teufelsmühle) and stunning views on the valley. ? I really recommend it to runners/hikers wanting to discover nice trails around Bad Herrenalb. But keep in mind, you should have a good condition ☺️

The track is pretty well marked with the white sign of 3 Mountains and an "A" in the middle (see pictures in the link)

Stage 2:

Start: in front of Waldfreibad Bad Herrenalb, before the small bridge and the steps.
Finish: train Station Marxzell

This stage is less challenging than the first one. There are no climbing  sections and much more broad forest tracks.
Nevertheless this is a beautiful track with plenty of hot spots (Falkensteinfelsen, Bernstein, Karl-Schwarz Brunnen, Bismarck Stein) and some technical downhills. I have to come back again to really appreciate the views .

The track is well marked by a white sign of 33 Mountains and a big "A" in the middele (See pictures in the link)
