Description

The Blue Mountain Trail is a 16.8 mile loop at Stokes State Forest in Branchville, New Jersey. Stokes has some beautiful trails and it's rarely crowded! The Blue Mountain loop includes a little bit of everything: technical single-tracks, a couple of nice climbs, a beautiful stretch through a pine forest along a river, and even a clean drinking water spigot around mile 10. Drive to the Park Office lot and park there (do not drive through the gate as this is the closest parking location). To begin the loop, walk down the hill and the trailhead will be on your right. You will follow the blue blazes the entire time and finish back where you started. The trail is very well-marked and easy to navigate. The FKT can be run in either direction and as it is a loop can be started/ended at any point within the loop as long as the whole loop is completed.
