Route: Bruksleden 100 Miler (Sweden)

The Bruksleden Trail is a generally N-S trail with several options on it. Like all of the classic long distance trails in Sweden, it is almost all single track with some dirt road and occasional road crossings through gorgeous moss covered forests. The footing is anywhere from smooth buffed out paths to extremely technical rocky and rooty terrain, some bog crossings, and some raised wooden pathways.

While there are many variations that could be done on this trail network, if one goes from the Northernmost trailhead near Avesta, using the longest non-repeating pathway, to the furthest Southeastern trailhead in Västerås, it maps out at 101.8 miles. Perfection....

I did an attempt May 21st/22nd 2020 but aborted after 115K/25h. It is rough terrain in some parts but I had a fantastic trip.
