Description

The Camino de Santiago consists of a set of pilgrimage routes that have existed for over 1,000 years. The routes have various starting points, but all end at the Cathedral of Santiago de Campostela in northwestern Spain. The Camino Inglés follows the route traditionally walked by pilgrims arriving on ships from England, with starting points Ferrol (113.45 km) and A Coruña (~73 km). Because there is a minimum requirement of 100 km to receive a Camino certificate of completion, Ferrol has become the standard starting point in modern times.

The route is well marked with concrete waymarkers and yellow painted arrows.
