I will be having a go at the self-supported FKT starting on the 29th of October. My attempt will be a continuous effort.
It would be possible to follow live here: https://maps.findmespot.com/s/SH5M
I will be attempting this record, starting on November 3rd, running as a continuous self-supported effort.
All runs will be tracked on Strava and uploaded each day. Will be using the route David has shared / followed.
Good luck to Hugo, who seems to be midway through his attempt as I type!
Irei realizar este precurso no dia 31 de Agosto pelas 19h a sair da Sé do Porto. Irá ser feito em auto-suficiência e sozinho.
Até já! 🙌😁

Did you try it? 😉
I’m considering an attempt on the Portuguese CdS next week. Originally I had my eye on the Central Route (which everybody else here has taken) — however, it appears that wildfire is going to make that dangerous/difficult/impossible.
I’m now looking at the Coastal Route, which has the option of a boat crossing at the border of Portugal/Spain to follow the Coastal Route proper, or a marked Camino trail link up that meets the Central Route at the border. Both options follow official Camino trails, however the latter is only on foot.
I’m yet to decide which is better — follow the entire coastal route (with boat) or make the entire journey on foot.
If anybody has a perspective I’d be grateful to hear it.

Coastal one 280 km and proper will be crossing the bridge as the ferry from caminha for me it’s not aceptable because was not in use a ferry in that time. But it’s a personal opinion
I thought so to do it next year but I did many small parts of it
