Description

A unique route cutting through the AONB of the Chiltern hills and following a large portion of the River Thames footpath from the heart of Oxfordshire to the Richmond Riverside.

This route encompasses many famous and historic towns including Wallingford (the first town to let William the Conqueror pass), Henley-on-Thames (the host of world famous rowing regatta), Marlow (the heart of Bronze Age and Iron Age settlements), Maidenhead (the home to at least two Roman villas), Windsor (hosting the castle where our Royals reside) and finishing at the home of Edward 1st in Richmond.

This route also includes many historical churches along with stunning views from the winding meanders of the Thames footpath.
