A longer variation of the original Cove to Cove that begins in Porteau Cove Provincial Park and ends in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. Like the shorter rout this starts in Porteau Cove and follows the Sea to Sky highway for roughly 2km to the Howe Sound Crest Trail. It then takes the Howe Sound Crest Trail to Cypress Bowl (taking in Brunswick Mountain along the way) and connects to the Baden Powell trail. The route follows the Baden Powell to the bottom of the Grouse Grind and then diverges by ascending the Grouse Grind and adding Crown Mountain, Coliseum Mountain, Paton Peak and Vicar Ridge, finally heading down to the beach in Panorama Park. I was aiming for 14 peaks so I threw in Pump Peak (a short ascent but harder because it's towards the end) and Brockton Point (even easier than Pump Peak). Bonus points for dipping in the water on each end.
Brunswick is the highest peak on the North Shore. Crown is the highest peak visible from the North Shore. And Coliseum is one of the most spectacular peaks on the North Shore (in my opinion). And you cover the three main ridgelines in the North Shore mountains in one go.
This is the illogical line connecting the very popular Howe Sound Crest Trail and Baden Powell Trail (because the logical one wouldn't include the detour at Grouse!).
Roughly - 90km, 8200m elevation gain
