Description

Starting and finishing at the gate of Cudham Recreation Ground car park.

This well-marked circular route takes you through 7.4 miles of woodland and farmland around Cudham and Downe in Bromley. You will pass close to Down House, the former home of Charles Darwin and his family, Biggin Hill airport and then through the splendid High Elms Country Park

The scenic route undulates through fields, golf courses, tree guarded paths and country lanes. Negotiating stubborn gates and weak stiles adds to the challenge. Much of the way is uneven ground and narrow paths, so be very careful with your footing. You will enjoy falling down the steep slopes more than the horrific hill climbs that await at the bottom.

The horses are accustomed to intruders trampling a bit of their grass.
