Description

The Dhaka City Line is a 16 km north–south urban traverse through one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Starting at Mirpur-10 National Cricket Stadium beneath the tracks of the newly opened Dhaka Metro, the route heads south past Parliament and Dhaka University before entering the tight, winding alleys of Old Dhaka—where Lalbagh Fort and surrounding streets still echo the far eastern reaches of the Mughal Empire along the Buriganga River.

To minimize both vehicular and foot traffic, it's recommended to start before sunrise. This run was meant to show that even in a megacity like Dhaka, movement, space, and running are possible. I hope this route inspires others and contributes to Bangladesh’s growing running culture.
