Description

Gebürg*Trail is the more alpine Variant of Wiesenttal-Trail, where Bavaria´s hardest half Marathon Trailrun Neideck1000 takes place. The track often follows narrow Trails aside of the well-known marked Hiking Trails (e.g. Frankenweg)  -> a good sense of orientation and enduring concentration are advantageous! Having doubts or trouble get in touch with the author STEiN*iG :-) The Course is partly on, partly -more or less- parallel to Wiesenttal-Trail. Attention at two crossing sections in the round: the "Riesenburg loop" is identically to Wiesenttal-Trail (follow marks), after "W-Trail Point 8" (near Brünhildenstein) follow northward direction to Neudorf, continue on the northern part to the turnaround at Streitberg (Muschelquelle), from there return on the southern part of the track via the rocky Ensemble of Felsenschlucht (pay attention to bird breeding advice, esp. for climbers) back to the start at Muggendorf.
