Both the GR131 and the Camino of Gran Canaria starts in Maspalomas to the south of the island, but whilst the GR131 ends on the port town of Agaete, the Camino route ends in the more historic town of Galdar. The two trails take different paths through the island as well and the GR131 trail is longer.
