The Inner Park Ring is a 52 km running loop that circles central Berlin, connecting many of the city’s parks, lakes, and green corridors.
The route starts and finishes at Tempelhofer Feld, the huge open space of the former Berlin Tempelhof Airport. From there it heads through the quiet garden neighborhood of Neu-Tempelhof and into Volkspark Wilmersdorf, a long green park that cuts through the city.
The route then winds west toward the lakes of the Grunewald lake chain, passes Lietzensee, and continues through the gardens of Charlottenburg Palace. After crossing the River Spree, it reaches the wide paths of Volkspark Jungfernheide, one of Berlin’s largest parks.
The northern section runs through Volkspark Rehberge and around Schäfersee, before following the green corridor along the former Berlin Wall toward Ernst-Thälmann-Park.
In the east the route becomes more lively, passing cafes and bars in Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. The final stretch follows the Landwehr Canal and loops through Neukölln before returning to the wide open runways of Tempelhofer Feld.
