Description

The Highline Trail starting from Logan's Pass is the premier hiking trail in Glacier National Park and is regularly mentioned as a top 10 hike in the continental United States. It is ordinarily hiked as a loop back to 'Going to the Sun Road' or as part of a multi-day hike. The terminus of the hike is at the southern end of Waterton Lake.

The trail cuts through the epicenter of GNP and runs relatively flat through spectacular terrain.

This FKT is for the full length from Logan's Pass to Waterton Lake. However, many alternate/abbreviated segments would also merit consideration -- including: Logan's Pass to Granite Park Chalet; Logan's Pass to Fifty Mountain; Logan's Pass to 'The Loop' via Chalet; etc.
